Winter Trees
When I was newly married, we visited my in-laws for Christmas in northern Wisconsin. There’s an expectation for families to purchase a permit and venture into the woods to cut down their Christmas tree. That year, we had the audacity to venture a little too far into the woods to find that perfect tree. With the snow falling, in the silence of the deep woods, we found it. Then we realized how much snow actually fell, how far away our car was, how heavy the tree was, and wondered how we’d get the car unstuck! Needless to say, we survived and now have a great story to tell. I hope you fondly remember a winter adventure of your own and enjoy making these wintry trees in the process.
