Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep
I remember as a little girl, I would see a beam of sunlight shining through a window or piercing through the branches of a tree – I could almost touch it - and I would wonder “Is that God?” I have since decided that yes, that was God. And so is the bird singing outside my window far too early in the morning. And so is the sweet lick of my dog on my face when I’m feeling blue. And so is the twinkle in my son’s eyes when he’s trying to play a trick on me. There isn’t a color for the lick or the twinkle, so I knew I wanted to use yellow to represent that sunlight beam. With this quilt, you CAN touch the sunlight, and as you fall asleep under the quilt, you can feel God near you because He is everywhere.
