Neighborhood Friends
When we lived in Pennsylvania, our home backed up into a wooded area. I was adding food to our birdfeeder daily. We had every kind of bird - even a Baltimore Oriole - except for hummingbirds. We didn’t have enough flowers for them in the backyard to draw them close. We now live in Indiana and I have worked hard to gain the trust of hummingbirds. We have them by the dozens. Although we don’t have the variety of songbirds here like we did in PA, I still feed them daily and you can find me talking with them often! Yes, I even talked with the appliqued birds on this quilt. I hope you can have a great conversation with these Neighborhood Friends as you bring them to life through fabric.
