I grew up in western Massachusetts.  Our home was part of a large valley in the state so we would have countless gray days in the winter.  We were close enough to the Berkshires so we’d also get a lot of snow.  I grew to love those gray snowy days because it was on those days that I would be taken on adventures in the library books I borrowed while drinking tea under a quilt.  It was also on those gray days that I discovered my love for sewing.  This panel is special to me because it is a reminder of those long winters in Massachusetts with tea, books and a sewing machine.
