Pumpkin Patch
Every year we go to a farm to pick our pumpkins. Usually, a hay ride, corn maze, and a long slide with a potato sack are involved. When my son was a toddler, we piled into the farmer’s tractor to take the ride to the pumpkin field. It was a long ride with prickly hay for a 3 year old. I’ll never forget when he finally saw orange in the distance. We approached a field full of pumpkins and his eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. How were we ever going to choose the right pumpkin? Needless to say, I think we brought home half a dozen pumpkins that year. This quilt reminds me of that orange field and those bright happy eyes. I hope you can enjoy making these pumpkins with fond memories of a pumpkin patch in your life!
